Local Collaborations
The PEACE Foundation staff are involved with many successful collaborative efforts on the Northside. In addition to the increased productivity through collaboration, these efforts are particularly significant on the Northside as a means to build more cohesion among formerly disparate stakeholders. In 2007, the PEACE Foundation staff has played critical leadership roles in developing the following:
- Hope Collaborative - Working to find new solutions to effective education of minority students
- West Broadway Coalition - Building economic vitality on the Northside's mainstreet
- City of Minneapolis Youth Violence Steering Committee - Viewing youth violence at the city as a public health issue
- Northside Policy Action Coalition - Launching in 2008, a collaborative lobbying effort will fill a void of Northside voices at the state legislature
